Jamie Burrows, President

As President of SCMC, Ms. Burrows maintains operational and financial responsibility for all aspects of the company, formulating strategic methods of achieving the organization’s overall business plan. Ms. Burrows is also responsible for cultivating, sourcing, and managing tactical business alliances, establishing and implementing new business development plans, and contributing to the development and refinement of SCMC’s vision and comprehensive environmental strategy. She specializes in developing and implementing sound environmental solutions.

Additionally, she is in charge of leading efforts to grow SCMC’s services division. Ms. Burrows brings over thirty years’ of diverse industry experience in areas of environmental and construction for government and industry customers.   In 1983 she founded Moheat Inc. a woman owned business that was awarded multiple contracts with the government to manage and dispose of hazardous waste from military bases throughout the United States.  Moheat Inc. was purchased in 1996 by the GNI Group in a consolidation of environmental companies where she held the position of Director of Business Development for 3 years.

Ms. Burrows went on to work as a consultant to Technology providers under DARPA for the destruction of chemical weapons under the Chemical Weapons Treaty Convention.  She has held the positions of Director of Procurement for Parsons Engineering in Iraq, Director of BD for Major Construction for KBR, Director of Capture Management for IAP and Manager of Contracts for Bantrel Management in Canada on the Surmont 2 Tar Sands project for Conoco Phillips before coming to SCMC in 2013.

Ms. Burrows holds Masters Certification in government contracts from George Washington University.

Jeff Day, Vice President

Mr. Day is the Vice President in charge of SCMCs Environmental Division. He is responsible for the regional program management and leadership of SCMC’s project team. He oversees the successful execution of numerous projects as well as developing new business. Mr. Day is responsible for all phases of project performance including development of the scope, schedule, cost and project agreement, subcontractor selection and management, work force planning, project execution, change management, project closeout, and profit and loss. He routinely maintains responsibility for the project throughout the performance period, and provides direct contributions toward client satisfaction and retention, as well as development of additional business opportunities.

Mr. Day has over 22 years “boots on the ground” experience in the environmental field working for Army/USACE, Navy, Air Force, EPA, private industry, and State governments with emphasis on environmental remediation and restoration, facility decontamination, civil engineering, demolition, erosion control, process engineering design and operation, and emergency response.

As Vice President, Mr. Day is intimately involved in business development, proposal development, estimate preparation and pricing strategy, and overall management oversight of SCMC’s commercial and government clients.

Mr. Day holds a B.S. in Geology and is a Professional Geologist in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky.

Tammy Onorato, Vice President of Operations

In her role as VP of Operations, Ms. Onorato directs the operations of SCMC in support of its goals. She oversees the day-to-day operations to support the growth of SCMC. She has successfully managed professional teams of geologists, engineers, field technicians and scientists during complex, multi-phased projects, and achieved cost-effective project goals leading to site closures.

Ms. Onorato holds a B.S. in Marine Science with a concentration in Geophysics and is a Professional Geologist in Florida and Georgia.
